Joni Johnston Neidigh is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, and has been in private practice for over 26 years. Joni is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotist who specializes in athletic performance. She has helped develop athletes from age-group to Olympians and professionals in the sport of swimming. Joni works with USA registered swimmers and coaches all over the country. She has hosted and worked with coaches and teams from other countries as well including Spain, Japan, Brazil, Australia, Scotland, and more.
Joni is also a presenter at clubs, coaches-clinics, colleges, and high schools around the country. She is known to help athletes, coaches, and parents learn to improve their mental game in a fun and easy way. In addition to seeing clients at her private practice locations, Orange Park, Jacksonville, and Jacksonville Beach, Florida, she also offers one on one sessions with athletes via Skype or Facetime.
Joni is the author of AIM Gold Medal Mental Toughness Success Guide as well as Anger and Violence Intervention Program Success Guide. She has also produced over 20 audio products to help with athletic performance. These can be found at www.aim-store.net.
Joni pioneered the Competency based Anger and Violence Intervention Program (“AVIP”) in 1995 and has served as the director and facilitator for 19 years. Including her internship, she has served families in Duval, Clay, Baker, and Nassau Counties for over 26 years. Mrs. Neidigh has experience facilitating individual, group, and marriage counseling. She has served as a motivational and educational speaker on numerous occasions and has provided expert witness testimony in the above named courts for the past 21 years. In addition, she has received training in treating domestic violence, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, and has completed the forensic examiner training at USF. She currently holds certification as a domestic violence counselor from the National Association of Forensic Counselors. She has also been assisting athletes as a Mental Game Coach using cognitive therapy and imagery to improve performance. These techniques assist athletes in terms of overcoming obstacles and reaching personal or professional goals. She has worked with numerous coaches and athletes associated with Florida and USA Swimming. She is currently accepting new clients.
